GeoJournal L10

On August 5, 2014, there was a large landslide above the Parkway Drive in Davis Country, North Salt Lake. It was in the morning and it ultimately ended up being a landslide mass that was about 500 feet wide and 500 feet long. There was one specific home that was affected and crumbled due to the landslide. Other homeowners were advised to leave in case of another one.

Although there are no known causes for this landslide that was explained to the public, it assumed it may have happened because the soil was weak due to the construction that occurred.
