"OWWWWWWWWW"
Jack turned around to see his younger brother sprawled against the ice sheet. He shook his head in amusement as he reached out his hand to help him up.
"It's not funny," James grunted as he arched his back.
Jack gave him a wide smile. "Better watch your step, brother."
James groaned. "My idea of an adventure is not to hang out at a valley glacier."
"Glacier," Jack corrected him, carefully watching his steps, making sure he is not near any sea ice. That would be rather unfortunate.
James pursed his lips, debating on whether or not to argue with his brother. In the corner of his eye, he saw firn. Maybe if he was sneaky, he could grab some and --
"Don't even think about it." Jack said, disrupting his younger brother's thoughts.
"Well I am bored just walking around. Why did we think it would be a great idea to study the plastic flow?"
Jack stopped his tracks and slowly turned around.
"You didn't have to come, you know. You could have stayed in London and sipped on tea." He took a deep breath and looked into his brother's eyes. "But I know you like adventure and studying glacier budget and the ice shelves. I would not have asked you to come if that was not the case."
James felt guilt inside him. His brother was not wrong. He did enjoy going out with adventures with his older brother. There was a brief silence between them. "I don't think we are too far from the hanging valley."
Jack smiled, knowing his brother could not see his face light up. "If you look to your left, you can see the horns. We are learning just the tip of the iceberg of education"
James chuckled. "Very funny, brother."
